What do atmosphere's have to do with it! Two suns that close are
dealing with GRAVITY! There is no orbit that would remove the fact
that the gravity between them is immense! Please, even if they moved
so fast as to become a blur, the distance between them does not change,
and this would merge those Suns before any sideways motion at all could
occur. The only motion would be in a straight line direction TOWARD
each other. This is another example of how your orbital mechanics do
not take gravity into consideration, and CANNOT be put together with
your laws of gravity. Another one of their faults is that they make
otherwise sober and intelligent humans make silly statements! Give it
up and start thinking!
